the call to prayer

the call to prayer in egypt can be (and it was for me) the most hauntingly beautiful sounds to wake up to.  The Muizzen would make the call 5 times a day he never used a loud speaker, not like some areas .  To wake just before dawn .....first there is the night stillness, then you smell the jasmine floating in the windows and somewhere thebirds make their first tentative callings, the frog stops croaking and the Adhan begins.  Allah u akbarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr allah !  it is almost a spirtual experience in itself
